Real Sociedad were denied a first away league win of the season by a last-minute equaliser at Levante.
Sergio Canales fired former Manchester United manager David Moyes's side into a second-half lead.
However, Andreas Ivanschitz equalised from the spot in injury time after a Carlos Martinez handball.
Moyes confronted the referee after the final whistle but his side have failed to win in three league games and are three points above the relegation zone.
