BBC Sport - New York City FC: Rodney Marsh questions three teams in US city

Marsh questions three New York teams

Former Manchester City captain Rodney Marsh tells BBC North West Tonight he is unsure whether three football teams can thrive in New York.

Man City announced their intention to form a Major League Soccer team, New York City FC, with baseball giants New York Yankees in May 2013, and have recruited Frank Lampard and David Villa as headline signings.

The city already has the New York Red Bulls in the MLS and New York Cosmos play in the North American Soccer League.

Former England forward Marsh, now 70, lives in America, spent four years with City during the 1970s and later played in the USA for Tampa Bay Rowdies.
