Dag & Red 0-2 Stevenage

Stevenage picked up just their second away win of the season with victory at struggling Dagenham & Redbridge.

Luke Howell tested Boro keeper Chris Day early on, but Stevenage went closest to scoring in a goalless first half as Ryan Brunt hit the bar and Dean Parrett volleyed over.

They finally took the lead when Charlie Lee scored from close range after Dean Wells' header struck the bar.

Chris Whelpdale fired past home keeper Mark Cousins to wrap up the points.

Stevenage manager Graham Westley told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"We haven't been good away from home at getting on top of oppositions and dulling the home atmosphere, but I thought we did that very well today.

"They played slightly different to how we expected so we had to adjust in the early part of the game. We came out after half-time and really had a crack at them.

"It was a good team performance. I think the whole unit went about their work in a very disciplined way. You can see they've looked after themselves over the Christmas period."
