Grimsby Town 1-3 Lincoln City

Lincoln picked up their first away win since 16 August with victory over local rivals Grimsby.

Craig Disley connected with Jon-Paul Pittman's cross to put the hosts in front midway through the first-half.

The Imps hit back with two quick-fire goals before the break through Charlee Adams' stunning long-range effort and Alan Power's close-range finish.

Ben Tomlinson hit the bar for Lincoln in the second half before Marcus Marshall tapped in to secure the win.

Grimsby boss Paul Hurst told BBC Radio Humberside:

"We played a lot better today than we did against Macclesfield. It's a result business and we know that but I'm certainly not going to be too harsh on the players.

"I thought they gave me everything and that's all I can ask of them and ever will.

"I think on a lot of days if we play that well then we'll win more games than we lose.

"I have to give credit to them and the way they took their opportunities, they did well, but we've had a lot of chances today as well and played some good stuff."

Lincoln City manager Chris Moyses told BBC Radio Lincolnshire:

"I'm so pleased for the fans more than anything else because we've had some dark times but we're trying to get things back on track and we're doing our best.

"Honest endeavour, I would call it. They're a different class now as a set of men, we're going into every game thinking we can win it.

"I think what we've done is we've freed everybody up, we've tried to encourage players to play. We're not trying to accommodate anybody, everyone is in that team on merit.

"We were disappointed to concede but the response was great. It's been a good Christmas for us so I hope we can keep it going."
