Assistant manager Grant Brown says Lincoln City have taken control of their play-off hopes after beating Conference leaders Barnet 4-1.
The Imps moved to within four points of the top five with at least one game in hand on those sides in play-off places.
"The lads were magnificent," Brown told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
"They are full of confidence. They can look at the table, see we are four points off the play-offs with games in hand and see it's in our hands."
Victory over Martin Allen's Barnet was Lincoln's sixth win from seven league games, and took Chris Moyses' side to 11th place in the table.
"It's great result and great performances that keeps this run going and keeps us moving in the right direction," said Brown.
"Barnet are a good side that are full or confidence and we took the game to them, scored four goals and we couldn't be happier.
"The lads believe in what they are doing, are playing with smiles on their faces and the results are coming."
