Burnley defender Kevin Long has signed a new two-year contract with the club after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Long, 24, was injured only 20 minutes into his Premier League debut against Newcastle on Saturday.
Tests confirmed the Irishman had ruptured his cruciate ligament and will be sidelined for around nine months.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche said: "He'll be looked after, as we do with our players."
Long joined Burnley from Cork City in 2010 and his contract had been due to expire in the summer.
