Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with the Championship leaders.
The 25-year-old, who scored five goals in five league matches in December, has made 28 appearances so far this season.
Arter has played 163 games for the Cherries since joining from Conference side Woking in 2009.
"I want to play at the highest level. My best chance is doing that here and I would get the most satisfaction achieving it here," said Arter.
"It was an easy decision, the club is going in the right direction and I've been here a while now."
"It has been a really good journey and it would be sad to not want to commit to the club when we are doing really well. It would be a silly time to think of going anywhere else."
