AFC Wimbledon 2-1 Accrington Stanley

AFC Wimbledon overcame Accrington to win their first game in 2015.

Sean Rigg opened the scoring for the hosts when he volleyed into an unguarded net after goalkeeper Matt Macey had saved Craig Tanner's shot.

The Dons dominated and Macey again saved from Tanner before George Francomb missed a great opportunity.

The points were made safe when Adebayo Azeez lifted the ball over Macey, before Stanley grabbed a consolation from close range through Adam Buxton.

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley told BBC London 94.9:

"We were very good going forward last week, but we lost the game. Today we were less effective going forward but that was because we've worked hard on making sure we have a good balance to us.

"We knew we had to keep things tight; we knew we had goals in us and obviously it's proved that way.

"It was a little bit nervy the last five minutes. I don't think they really created much and we defended really well as a team."
