Cameroon and Guinea played out a draw that sees Africa Cup of Nations Group D exactly level going into the final round of fixtures.

All four matches so far have been 1-1, meaning lots will be drawn to decide the qualifiers if Wednesday's matches are identical draws.

Cameroon looked in control of the group when Benjamin Moukandjo scored directly from a corner.

But Ibrahima Traore levelled from 20 yards to set up a tense final day.

Cameroon face Ivory Coast on Wednesday, with Guinea playing Mali. A victory would be enough to take any of the four teams through.

If one team win and the other game is a draw, then lots will be drawn to decide which of those two teams qualify.

If both games are draws, but one is higher scoring, both sides in that game will qualify for the quarter-finals.

Cameroon are the four-time champions but have not lifted the trophy since 2002.

They came into the tournament without striker Samuel Eto'o, who with 18 goals is the all-time top scorer in the Africa Cup of Nations.

He retired from international football last year, with midfielder Alex Song following suit in the build-up to the tournament.

But Volker Finke's side did not look like they were missing the pair as they started brightly.

Vincent Aboubakar had a shot for Cameroon which keeper Naby Yattara did well to get down low and tip around a post.

But the goalkeeper was at fault for Cameroon's opener. After he had a hand in conceding a corner, he then palmed Moukandjo's effort into his own net.

His opposite number Fabrice Ondoa had a moment of madness at the other end and was lucky not to concede a penalty.

His heavy touch was blocked by Mohamed Yattara and the Barcelona teenager appeared to kick the striker in his attempt to recover the situation.

And Ondoa was beaten late in the first half when Traore received the ball with his back to goal outside the box, turned Stephane Mbia and hammered a shot from 20 yards across the keeper into the far bottom corner.

Cameroon did most of the attacking in the second half with Aboubakar and Mbia, in the final minute, heading efforts wide from six yards out to ensure the closest of conceivable groups going into the final games.
