James Constable rescued Eastleigh against Wrexham, but it was not enough to move the hosts into the play-off zone.
Eastleigh's Ben Strevens beat Andy Coughlin from the penalty spot after Sam Finley fouled Harry Pell.
Louis Moult smashed in an immediate reply after Manny Smith's knock-down.
Neil Ashton's volley put the visitors ahead, but Constable levelled late on as he sent the ball past Coughlin after a quickly-taken free-kick.
Wrexham manager Kevin Wilkin told BBC Radio Wales:
"For me it was two points dropped as I thought we were excellent tonight. We had opportunities in the second half to kill the game off.
"That's why I feel it was two points dropped.
"But I thought, to a man, everybody committed to the cause and I'm disappointed we didn't take all three points."
