Brighton have released midfielder Nzuzi Toko after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
The 24-year-old has only made one appearance for the Seagulls since joining the Championship club on a three-year deal last summer.
The former Grasshopper Zurich man's sole outing came as a sub in the League Cup win over Burton in September.
"Unfortunately things didn't work out as all parties had hoped," said Albion chief executive Paul Barber.
"Nonetheless all of us at the club thank Toko for his efforts and wish him well for the future."
DR Congo-born Toko had come through the Grasshoppers youth system and made over 100 appearances during his time with the Swiss club.
