Equatorial Guinea are "like ants" compared to Burkina Faso said their proud coach Esteban Becker, after their second draw of the Africa Nations Cup.
The hosts, the lowest-ranked team, will qualify for the last eight if they beat Gabon on Sunday.
"Burkina Faso have eight players who play in the French league. We are like ants compared to them," said Becker.
"I'm very proud of this young team, which is 100% Equatoguinean and wants to defend the country's colours."
When co-hosting the finals in 2012, Equatorial Guinea reached the quarter-finals in their debut appearance in Africa's biggest sporting event.
They are sitting third in Group A but will qualify with a win in their final match of the round following Gabon's shock defeat to table toppers Congo.
"I'm not just satisfied, I'm very satisfied," said Becker, who only took charge of the Equatoguineans on 6 January.
"We could have been a goal down in the first half. We made some tactical mistakes and lost the midfield.
"But in the second half, we were courageous. We had a penalty appeal which was not given and we could even have won the game."
