Celtic will make a £10,000 donation to support Fernando Ricksen and Motor Neurone Disease Association Scotland.

The former Rangers defender was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2013 and there will be a tribute match to his cause at Ibrox on Sunday.

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell said: "At Celtic, unfortunately we are all too familiar with MND and its devastating effects.

"Jimmy Johnstone fought bravely against this illness, as did John Cushley."

Several Rangers greats, including Andy Goram, Ronald de Boer, Barry Ferguson and Michael Mols, are playing in the fundraiser match.

"We would like also to take this opportunity to send our thoughts and best wishes to Fernando and his family," added Lawwell.
