Coventry City 2-2 Rochdale

Rochdale twice came from behind to deny Coventry victory at the Ricoh Arena.

On-loan debutant Dominic Samuel put the Sky Blues ahead when he fired in after Dale keeper Josh Lillis had kept out Kim O'Brien's attempt.

Callum Camps levelled soon after with a first-time shot from the edge of the box before debutant Sanmi Odelusi drove in to put the hosts back in front.

But substitute Calvin Andrew secured a point for Dale when he headed in midway through the second half.

Sky Blues manager Steven Pressley told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire:

"I was really pleased with the first-half performance. The second half they started to get control and it took us 15 to 20 minutes to get to grips with that.

"In the final 20 minutes you could see the desperation in both sides to win. We desperately want to win games of football and I am confident we can start winning again.

"In terms of excitement, it was far more like the Coventry City I've wanted to see, and there are lots of things to build on - a lot of good positives.

Rochdale manager Keith Hill told BBC Radio Manchester:

"It was an entertaining game and we did well. I'm not too disappointed because we might have lost that in the first 23 games of the season."

"We played really well second-half. We gifted the two goals to the opposition.

"We secure possession and we give the ball away, so we have to improve on that if we want to win these games. On another day we would have won it."
