Wrexham 0-0 Torquay United

Wrexham earned their first Conference point of 2015 as they held Torquay United at the Racecourse Ground.

Conditions were difficult, the pitch proving to be heavy going in spite of passing a late inspection.

With a biting wind at their backs, Torquay had the better of the first half, Andy Coughlin saving well from Ashley Yeoman and James McQuilkin.

Kyle Storer fired into the side netting before fellow Wrexham debutant Kieron Morris had a shot saved by Martin Rice.

Storer was making his first start after signing from Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday, while Morris was on as a late substitute following his loan move from Walsall.

Wrexham manager Kevin Wilkin:

"The first half was difficult. Wind spoils games more than anything.

"Overall, the draw is a fair result if I'm being honest about it.

"The real positive was the clean sheet, but when those chances come, as they did late in the second half, we need to be taking them."
