Lee Clark: Blackpool collapse at Watford 'embarrassing'
Manager Lee Clark was "embarrassed" to watch his Blackpool side concede seven second-half goals at Watford.
The Seasiders, who sit bottom of the Championship, led 2-0 at half-time but let in three goals in nine minutes after the break and lost 7-2.
"At 3.50pm, it was looking fantastic. At 4.50pm, it was embarrassing," Clark, 42, said.
"That is quite simply the easiest way to put it," the former Birmingham manager told BBC Radio Lancashire.
Andrea Orlandi and Steven Davies had put Clark's side in control at Vicarage Road but the Hornets' comeback was led by striker Odion Ighalo, who scored four times in the second period.
Blackpool's second-half capitulation leaves them winless away from home this season and nine points from safety.
"We talked about the first 15 minutes being crucial, certainly not conceding, never mind conceding three in the first seven or eight," Clark added.
"It put us on the back foot and we never recovered.
"Within a minute that it changed, we didn't handle the setback well enough and it just went from bad to worse."
