League One leaders Swindon Town have turned down a £2m bid for Massimo Luongo from an unnamed Turkish club.

BBC Wiltshire understands La Liga side Sevilla have also made an approach for the former Tottenham man.

The 22-year-old midfielder has attracted attention while on international duty with Australia in the Asian Cup.

Luongo has helped the hosts reach the final of the competition where they will face South Korea.

Capped 10 times by his country, Sydney-born Luongo has spent a month away with the Socceroos but will return to Swindon after the final on Saturday.

He has made 70 appearances for Town since making a permanent £400,000 move in 2013 and he has 18 months left to run on his current deal.
