Yeovil came from behind to beat Crawley in League One in their first game since the dismissal of Gary Johnson.
Johnson was sacked on Wednesday and replaced by his assistant and former full-time boss Terry Skiverton.
Izale McLeod headed home from Jimmy Smith's pinpoint cross to put the visitors ahead in the first half.
But Gozie Ugwu nodded in Sam Foley's free-kick to level and Yeovil's winner arrived when Ajay Leitch-Smith pounced after Crawley failed to clear.
The three points means Yeovil move off the bottom of League One, leapfrogging Crawley into 22nd place, while Leyton Orient slip to 24th.
Yeovil acting manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset:
"I asked for the supporters to get behind us and they definitely did that.
"There wasn't any negativity around the ground and the players felt that from the warm-up.
"It gave them the confidence to really go out there and move the ball around.
"We've got a points total we're trying to get to. It's no good us winning now and then not winning for the next five or six."
Crawley Town boss Dean Saunders told BBC Surrey:
"We gave too many fouls away today and 14 in the second half and you cannot do that to a team this big. First we were in control and I thought they hardly had any chances and we scored a great goal.
"It's a kick in the teeth today because we had a chance to put five points between us. Against teams at the top we have to make sure we don't get beat. Even if we don't win we've got to make sure we don't lose that game.
"We can now try to win the home games - but there is no point getting ourselves too far down today because we've got to come in tomorrow and get ready for the Doncaster game on Tuesday."
