Match ends, Scunthorpe United 0, Oldham Athletic 1.
Oldham snatched a late win over struggling Scunthorpe to rise into the League One play-off places.
The visitors had the majority of the possession in a lacklustre first half, but they struggled to test Luke Daniels in the Scunthorpe goal.
Just as it looked like the game was heading for a draw, Carl Winchester drove into the box unchallenged and fired in the winning goal.
Defeat by Oldham was only the Iron's third in 15 league matches.
Scunthorpe United manager Mark Robins told to BBC Radio Humberside:
"I don't think we deserved to lose it - a fair result would have been a draw, but it was just one of those games.
"I'm not going to candy-coat anything, it was a poor game and looked like it was going to be a 0-0 draw.
"We shot ourselves in the foot and really there wasn't enough quality in it from us. We tried to change that with one or two substitutions and while it helped a little, it was not enough."
Oldham manager Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Manchester:
"I was really pleased - obviously, after not a great performance on Tuesday, we had to sort of go back to the drawing board and re-inspire the group and we've done that, and they've done that for themselves.
"It was a very, very professional performance, reasonably comfortable, it maybe could have been 3-1 or something like that.
"We played some good stuff and created chances at a tough place to come."
