Plymouth claimed their first win of 2015 with victory over Accrington.
Lewis Alessandra cut in from the left and steered the ball past Stanley keeper Scott Davies from a tight angle to give the home side a deserved lead.
Just before the goal, Josh Windass had nearly put the visitors ahead from the edge of the area, but Reuben Reid, Olly Lee and Alessandra all went close as Argyle searched for a second.
Davies raced off his line to deny Pilgrims top scorer Reid late on.
John Sheridan's promotion-chasing side ended a seven-match streak without a win, and now sit in eighth place, two points outside the play-off places.
Accrington slip to 19th, five points clear of the relegation zone.
