Hartlepool boss Ronnie Moore thanked midfielder Aaron Tshibola for his commitment to League Two's bottom club for extending his loan from Reading.

Tshibola will stay until the end of the season, as will Nicky Featherstone, who extended his contract on Monday.

Transfer deadline day also saw Scott Harrison join permanently and on loan.

"Teams in better places wanted to take him but credit to Tish - he wanted to stay and fight," Moore told BBC Tees.

"He's big and he's strong, when the initial loan was up he could have left and we thank him for staying."

The 20-year-old set up Jonathan Franks' opener in his fifth Pools appearance.

Prior to Monday's arrival of Mirfin and Morgan, Tshibola had been one of three loanees at Victoria Park along with Harrison and Rakish Bingham, who has been

"The loanees have come, made us better and the lads enjoy playing with them," added Moore.

"Our players aren't used to winning but it can become an easy habit. We beat Plymouth, we should have won at Tranmere, and now go to Portsmouth with no fear."
