Doncaster thrashed 10-man Crawley to secure their first win in four games.
Andy Butler opened the scoring before the break when he scrambled home from Richie Wellens' free-kick.
Wellens made it 2-0 with simple finish at the far post and Nathan Tyson grabbed Rovers' third.
Crawley's night went from bad to worse when Joe Walsh was sent off on 67 minutes for throwing a punch, and goals from Harry Forrester and Curtis Main completed the rout.
Forrester's low shot put Doncaster 4-0 up and Main's long-range drive in stoppage time made it five.
Crawley are 23rd in the table, five points from safety, while 11th-placed Rovers climbed to within three points of the play-offs.
Crawley Town manager Dean Saunders told BBC Surrey:
"It was an awful, disastrous night. We were really just hanging on after about five minutes, and I just felt like we were hanging on in the game.
"They were better than us in all departments. They were moving the ball better then us and we had too many players giving the ball away.
"You know when you're battling down at the bottom, you have to stay in the game as long as you can but I felt like we were outclassed.
"The lads have just to go home and watch the DVD and they've got to look at their own performances because I have got to talk to you, the fans and the board about that performance."
