Southport halted a run of four-straight league defeats with a draw against promotion-chasing Macclesfield.
The Silkmen had won their previous five games, but nearly went behind before half-time when Richard Brodie's shot hit the inside of the post.
Danny Whitaker broke the deadlock for the in-form side with a header from Matthew Barnes-Homer's cross.
Brodie drilled in a low shot past goalkeeper Rhys Taylor to equalise and keep Southport a point above safety.
