Abdoulaye Meite: Ross County sign defender until season's end

Meite has been capped 48 times by Ivory Coast

Ross County have signed former Marseille defender Abdoulaye Meite on a deal until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old Ivory Coast international has previously played in England with Bolton, West Brom and Doncaster.

Most recently, he was with OFI Crete in Greece.

Born in Paris, Meite started his career with French side Red Star in the late 1990s before joining Marseille, where he spent six years.

County are currently six points adrift at the foot of the Scottish Premiership and host second-bottom Motherwell on Saturday.
