Champions League: Lazio & Dinamo Bucharest tie investigated

Dinamo Bucharest lost 4-2 on aggregate to Lazio in their Champions League tie in August 2007

Romanian anti-corruption prosecutors say they are investigating allegations that a 2007 Champions League qualifier between Dinamo Bucharest and Lazio was fixed.

The first leg of the third qualifying round tie was drawn 1-1 in Rome.

In the second leg in Bucharest on 28 August, Lazio came from 1-0 down to win 3-1 and reach the group stage with a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Lazio were eliminated at the group stage of the 2007-08 Champions League.
