Portsmouth 0-0 Oxford United

Ryan Clarke's goalkeeping heroics earned Oxford manager Michael Appleton a draw on his return to Portsmouth.

Pompey created more than enough chances to seal a fourth successive League Two victory but Clarke defied them with a string of saves.

Most spectacularly, he denied Jed Wallace with a dazzling fingertip stop and Matt Tubbs in the first half.

Oxford rarely threatened, their best effort coming when Danny Hylton's long-range effort was saved by Paul Jones.

Portsmouth manager Andy Awford told BBC Radio Solent:

"That's unbeaten in seven now - the longer we stay unbeaten the quicker we'll rise up the table.

"They played very well, Oxford. It was a good game, it's probably as good a 0-0 as you'll see.

"Oxford made it very difficult for us, credit to them for that."
