Struggling Dartford had to settle for a point after Tristan Plummer's second-half equaliser earned Aldershot a draw.
The Kent side looked set for a vital victory when Elliot Bradbrook headed his eighth goal of the season from Lee Burns' 16th-minute corner.
But Aldershot improved and almost levelled before the break when Jordan Roberts' free-kick rattled the bar.
And Dartford's defence buckled on the hour when Plummer cut in from the left and his shot deflected into the net.
Aldershot Town caretaker boss Chris Barker told BBC Surrey:
"We're quite disappointed we haven't got nine points out of nine from the three cup finals. On the other hand if you said to me two weeks ago you'd get seven points I would've taken that."
On managerial vacancy: "To be honest I am carrying on like I have been for five weeks so I will continue until someone tells me different.
"If a new manager comes in next week, I'll continue as a player and if I get the job I'll do both.
"The board have been fantastic with me, they've told me everything, they speak to me everyday and they haven't hid anything and they've backed me with the players."
