Mansfield Town have been fined £6,000, £4,500 of it suspended for 12 months, for fielding an ineligible player in a League Two game against Exeter City.
Bermudan midfielder Reggie Lambe played in the match on 17 January, which Mansfield lost, while unregistered.
"The club will not be appealing the decision and now considers the matter closed," said a club spokesman.
Lambe joined the club in September and signed a contract extension in January, eight days before the Exeter match.
