Preston North End 2-2 Doncaster Rovers

Jermaine Beckford has three goals from his last four games

Substitute Jermaine Beckford's injury-time strike rescued a point for Preston and denied Doncaster a dramatic win.

North End led for much of the game thanks to Daniel Johnson's left-foot strike from just inside the box as they went in search of a sixth straight win.

Harry Forrester fired in Rovers' equaliser after being teed up by James Coppinger and Curtis Main looped in an 84th-minute header to put them ahead.

But Beckford turned in from six yards to earn Preston a late point.

It means the Lilywhites have still lost only once in the league at home this season and move up to second in the League One table after MK Dons lost at home to Chesterfield.

The draw was enough to keep Doncaster sixth, occupying the final play-off place.
