In-form striker George Waring scored twice as Barnsley comfortably beat Walsall to record a fifth-successive victory in League One.
Waring, on loan from Stoke City, poked home Conor Hourihane's corner to put the home side in front.
Walsall striker Jordy Hiwula then had a penalty appeal turned down following a tangle with Martin Cranie.
Barnsley's second came from Waring's low strike before substitute Sam Winnall sealed the points.
Loan man Waring has now scored four times in the last three matches, while Winnall's goal was his first since November after recovering from a hamstring problem.
The win put Barnsley one place below the play-off positions, but level on points with sixth-placed Doncaster.
