Luton suffered their first loss at home since September after conceding a late own goal against 10-man Morecambe.
Jack Redshaw broke the deadlock for the visitors early on before Laurence Wilson found a second soon after.
Luton were back in it when Cameron McGeehan powered home and the hosts then levelled through Steve McNulty.
Morecambe's Ryan Edwards was sent off following a second yellow card but they secured the win when Luke Wilkinson put the ball in his own net.
Luton first-team coach Hakan Hayrettin told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"If we're being honest, we didn't play well first half, fair play to Morecambe they deserved it.
"We showed what we're capable of with our second-half performance but it wasn't meant to be.
"I must say the crowd again were fantastic, they were here in their numbers being vocal.
"As a group and as a team, we are in a fantastic position of strength, it's not all doom again, we can come and fight another day."
