Young Bolton Wanderers striker Zach Clough has said he has not surprised himself by scoring goals since he broke into the first team.
Clough has scored six goals in nine games since netting on his debut in the FA Cup against Wigan in January.
The 19-year-old signed a new deal until 2017 after his impressive start.
"I'm enjoying it. I've waited all my life to get to where I am and it's just all coming at once and hopefully it continues," said Clough.
He told BBC Radio Manchester: "I'm not surprised because I've worked hard to get where I am.
"I've always scored goals at every level and it's just working now in the Championship.
"I believe in what I'm doing and I believe in my ability."
The Manchester-born forward followed up his goalscoring debut with two goals in his first Championship game against Wolves.
Clough stands at just 5ft 7ins but said despite some early doubts, he has never let his height be a barrier.
"I've heard it a few times when I was little saying 'you'll never make it because you're too small'," he added.
"Now I'm just throwing it in their face really as I'm showing them I can do it.
"The better players are all small, there is obviously some big players, but most of them are small."
Bolton have also confirmed that Man Utd goalkeeper Ben Amos has extended his loan spell for another month.
