"You wont see a performance with as many proper disciplined, correct decisions minute after minute," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.
"He was symptomatic of a very focused back four so well done to him, playing his position extremely well."
The draw ended a two-game losing run for Tisdale's side, although they have not won a game since beating at Field Mill on 17 January.
"We've been very competitive on the road lately, I've got no gripe with the team be it Bury, be it Oxford, be it Portsmouth, I think we've been very competitive in looking to win every game we've played in," said Tisdale.
"We haven't come away with a win in the last half a dozen games away from home, but we've certainly been in them."
