Northampton Town boss Chris Wilder says hopes of winning promotion have intensified after ending Shrewsbury's unbeaten league run at home.
The Cobblers moved to within six points of a play-off place after claiming maximum points on Saturday.
Northampton host Portsmouth on Tuesday, with the chance of going ninth.
"The expectation level has been raised another notch, especially after winning at a team that is tipped to go up," Wilder told BBC Radio Northampton.
"The players should take confidence from going to arguably one of the best sides in the league and winning."
However, Wilder insists the league table will not be a distraction for a Cobblers side that has lost just once in 10 games, winning seven.
"There is enough experience in that changing room and staff to know that we are not going to get carried away with the performance and result," he said.
