Springfield's new 3G surface has been delayed by bad weather

Jersey boss Jimmy Reilly says the delay in opening the Springfield Stadium will not affect his side's preparation for their opening match against the Navy.

Jersey were due to on the new 3G surface, but the men's game has been moved to nearby St Peter as the new pitch is not ready.

Reilly told BBC Radio Jersey: "It won't really (affect us). It should be ready next week and the facility looks great.

"I'm confident and looking forward to the game. It should be a good one."
