Two goals in the final 11 minutes moved Falkirk to within five points of third-placed Rangers with a win at Alloa.
Alloa started well with Daryll Meggatt and Ryan McCord threatening, but Falkirk took charge through Luke Leahy.
Kevin Cawley's drive levelled matters with Bairns goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald clutching at air, but John Baird restored the lead when sent clear.
And, sub Alex Cooper made it three when he slotted home to move Falkirk to within five points of Rangers.
