I'm surprised LVG hasn't got more stick. SAF did enough in his career to get away from criticism of leaving a shocking team but Moyes paid the price and was hounded whilst spending little. LVG has spent big and his team looks, if anything, worse than under Moyes.
big sam says mufc are a long ball team so it must be true baa baa baaa the sheep on her are numerous
Has LVG brought any young players through? Has any player improved under LVG? I can't think of any. Anyone suggesting Fellaini is just admitting United are a long ball team.
@1440. Posted by petercanadaYes you fell pretty spectaculary in the 70`s and it took a long, long time to get back. You may not be so lucky this time."all things must pass"
You people really annoy me, you have fa lien into the same short term mind set as the clubs, or perhaps you are the drivers of it! It takes time to fix the issues left by SAF. Whilst I agree that some decisions have been less than perfect this man has a plan/vision and needs time. Unfortunately due to shortterm out look also money. But Di Maria? How did such a one sided player rate so highly?
malteaser well 1443 according to the number next to your comment, by the way gerrard only talk about your teams players we have known that for decades
Who cares about Manchester United's season?
LVG was always going to be a reletively short term appointment (2-3 years) whatever his contract may say Seems the United hierarchy want RG to do his apprenticeship under himThe body language on the bench does not seem great between the two & the rest of the class of 92 seem to be getting managed outThe only one that has the cajoonas to see thru the kings new clothes seems to be Scholesy
Post 5, 'the truth'- "LVG was a great coach. His Ajax team in 1995 was amazing - but that was 20 years ago. Football has moved on. His Holland team at the WC played awful football"- Eh? His Holland team at the World Cup scored 15 goals, only 3 less than the Champions Germany, who scored 18 (including 7 against Brazil) from the same number of games. Are you confusing Holland with England?
In 1957 we lost an entire team! From then to now we've fallen, rebuilt won trophies and will keep on rebuilding and winning trophies. City,Liverpool,Chelsea and Arsenal will always play second fiddle to Man U. Keep your negative comments coming,we love laughing at them.
We definitely need a HYS on the sexism that occurs at etihad and old trafford.
If MAN U sign VIDIC,then that shows that MAN FANS have been lied to about the truth about the problems at the club.Somebody is playing games with this GREAT CLUB.We all can see that during matches LVG does even give orders to the players like FERGY used to do.It is time the fans have to show that they are not been respected concerning what is really going on at MAN U.DI MARIA is a waste of MONEY.
"the failed Moyes era"? Hardly got his feet under the table and was left an appalling legacy by SAF who knew he was getting out just in time after several dubious purchases.. At least Moyes has more passion than LVG who does not seem capable of motivating his players. Moyes proved otherwise with relatively limited resources at Everton. They've all got what they deserved due to a lack of foresight.
LVG has only managed in leagues with two top teams in them, no wonder he is finding a bit harder in this league.
Phil mcnutty can't we have an in depth article about Jose because they lost and are out of the cup just like this one. Let's not have a comment section on sexism and racism. And at the end of the in depth article how about putting a big piece slating wenger completely nothing to do with the in depth article or title just like you always do please.
@1430. Posted by russet redLook what happened to Leeds Utd.I would get more pleasure from seeing Mancheater Utd relegated than see my own team win the premier league!
Isn't van gaal sacked yet? Is the protest plane being flown over old trafford soon?
Yet another absolutely pointless Man Utd article. The only thing United have to play for is a Top 4 finish. Would a top 4 spot even 'save' Utd's season? Surely any team that has spent 150m and fighting just for a top 4 finish would already be considered a failure?
Could be worse. Could be talking about Brenda rogers....
