East Fife 2-0 Arbroath

East Fife moved to within nine points of third-place Arbroath in Scottish League Two with victory over the Red Lichties.

The Fifers were awarded a penalty when Ross Brown was fouled but Derek Riordan's spot-kick was saved.

However, Riordan soon made amends when he fired home a free-kick before half-time.

Caolan McAleer's stoppage-time strike secured victory for Gary Naysmith's side.
