Coleraine beat Warrenpoint Town 5-0

Brad Lyons scored twice as Coleraine thumped Warrenpoint Town at Milltown.

Lyons followed up to score in the 26th minute after Jonathan Parr had saved Darren McCauley's initial snap-shot.

Aaron Canning added the second with a clinical strike three minutes later and Lyons grabbed his second by heading home a McCauley cross on 40 minutes.

Neil McCafferty fired in a 42nd-minute penalty and Ian Parkhill set up Gary Browne for a neat side-foot finish to complete the rout after the interval.

After Lyons broke the deadlock, Canning took one touch and found the net after getting on the end of McCafferty's corner.

The Bannsiders remained in the ascendancy, with Lyons grabbing his second and then McCafferty sending the goalkeeper the wrong way from the spot after Matthew Snoddy had been brought down in the box.

After half-time, Lyons had an effort saved by Parr and Parkhill saw his volley cannon off the crossbar.

Browne got his name on the score-sheet to complete a comprehensive victory over the hosts, who remain four points clear of Institute at the foot of the Premiership table.
