Portsmouth: Paul Robinson requires cheekbone surgery
Portsmouth defender Paul Robinson requires surgery to his cheekbone and will be out for "weeks rather than days", says manager Andy Awford.
Robinson joined on loan in August and made the move permanent in January.
The ex-Millwall man has played 38 times for the League Two club this season and suffered the injury in the second half of Saturday's 2-0 win over Luton Town.
"He's okay in himself, he's had the x-ray and has a fracture to his cheekbone," said Pompey boss Awford.
He told BBC Radio Solent: "We'll be without him for weeks rather than days - he'll be a big miss for us. He's seen the specialist and there needs to be some form of surgery, I'm not sure what but they do need to do some work.
"He's been very consistent all season. I knew what I was getting when I signed Paul, the fans have taken to him, he's taken to them and he'll be a big miss."
