Braintree Town 0-2 AFC Telford United

Conference bottom club AFC Telford United ended a run of three successive defeats to win at Braintree.

The Bucks, 14 points adrift of safety with six games left, led from a 59th-minute Tony Gray penalty after Bradley Reid was felled by Remy Clerima.

Five minutes later Danny Ventre scored his first goal for the club, drilling a low shot into the corner from 25 yards.

Braintree are 17th in the table, now only 11 points clear of danger after Nuneaton's 2-0 win over Wrexham.

Five of Telford's seven wins this season have been away from the Bucks Head.

Steve Kittrick told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"It was an excellent performance. We should have got a third goal, but I've got be happy enough with a 2-0 win.

"We deserved it. It's nice for another manager come up to me and 'Why are you bottom of the league?'

"Another away win too. And I'm pleased for the supporters that came down to follow us. I just wish we could do it at home."
