Stefan Payne's early goal saw Dover beat Telford, who are now on the brink of relegation from the Conference.
Tom Murphy's cross was converted by Payne from inside the six-yard box following defensive confusion.
Telford nearly levelled when Danny Ventre played in Tony Gray but Dover keeper Mitch Walker blocked well with his legs.
Dan Holman and Murphy both blazed over the crossbar as the hosts could not find a second.
Bottom-of-the-table Telford are 15 points from safety with five games to play and could be relegated next weekend if results go against them.
