Fleetwood Town 1-1 Preston North End

David Ball hit a superb late leveller as mid table Fleetwood dented Preston's hopes of catching League One leaders Bristol City.

Preston took a ninth-minute lead when Daniel Johnson smashed home Nathan Pond's clearance from 18 yards.

Ball equalised with a fine 25-yard lob which dropped in off the back post.

Ashley Hunter and David Ball had chances to seal it at the death for Town but a crucial block by Scott Laird ensured the spoils were shared.
