Match ends, Dundee United 1, Ross County 2.
Ross County's Scottish Premiership revival continued as they came away with all three points from a close encounter with Dundee United.
Nadir Ciftci's penalty levelled the match after Jackson Irvine's header had put the visitors ahead.
But Raffaele De Vita's finish on the rebound was enough to secure victory for the Dingwall side.
And the result was a disappointing one for Jackie McNamara in his 100th game in charge of United.
The Tangerines also go nine games without a win while Jim McIntyre's County, who move 10 points clear of bottom side St Mirren and remain three ahead of Motherwell, extend their unbeaten run to seven.
United started well and Ciftci got the first sight of goal after neatly evading defenders, eventually dragging his shot wide.
The striker then forced the ball over the line only to be ruled offside.
Ciftci clashed in the box with Jamie Reckord and claimed unsuccessfully for a penalty as the tide of attacks towards the visitors' goal continued.
But, against the run of play, the Highlanders found the opener. Martin Woods sent in an inswinging corner, which Jackson Irvine connected to with a bullet header into the net.
There was barely time to enjoy it, though, as, in a darting run, Aidan Connolly won a spot-kick for the hosts after being fouled by Marcus Fraser.
Up stepped Ciftci, who calmly converted.
Though pegged pack, County started the second half with confidence.
Liam Boyce was pulled back by United left-back Paul Dixon, who received a booking amid shouts from the visitors that the offence merited a dismissal.
Soon after, the visitors had the ball in the net again after Irvine headed in from another corner but his celebrations were cut short due to a foul on goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak.
But McIntyre's men were not to be denied and took the lead again thanks to De Vita, who pounced following a fine save from Cierzniak to block another Irvine header.
United pressure ensued but it was to be County's day.
