Barnet 1-0 Nuneaton Town

John Akinde
John Akinde has either more goals than the second-highest Conference scorer, Woking's Scott Rendell.

Barnet moved back to the top of the Conference table as John Akinde's 31st goal of the season saw them beat relegation-threatened Nuneaton.

After a goalless first half, Akinde brought down a cross and smashed home his ninth goal in 11 matches.

Earlier, Charlie MacDonald's shot hit the inside of the post for the Bees and Michael Gash's bicycle kick flew wide.

Nuneaton's best chances saw Jaanai Gordon go close twice early on and Curtis Weston drill a shot off target.

The win for Martin Allen's side means they climb above Bristol Rovers with a one-point advantage, while Nuneaton are still six points from safety.
