Former Notts County assistant manager Dave Kevan has rejoined the managerless League One side's coaching staff.
Kevan was sacked by the Magpies in 2010 along with then manager Craig Short.
The 46-year-old will join caretaker managers Paul Hart and Mick Halsall, who will remain in charge of the first team for the foreseeable future following the dismissal of Shaun Derry.
"Our immediate aim remains securing our place in League One," chairman Ray Trew told the club website.
"We have had to start putting things in place now to help ensure we achieve that and Dave's arrival is, I think, a big step in the right direction on that front."
Kevan had previously been working as assistant manager at Conference side Forest Green Rovers, who he joined in November 2013.
County are 20th in League One, level on points with Crawley in the final relegation spot.
