Former Hamburg midfielder Josef Shirdel and Montenegro Under-19 defender Milos Milovic have joined Rangers on trial.
Shirdel, who spent his 22nd birthday at Rangers' training ground, had a similar spell with West Ham United in March.
Rangers manager Stuart McCall said: "The two lads are in training with us, but there's not much to it.
"They are in Britain right now, so it's a chance for us to take a look at them and, if they do well, the club might take it forward later in the summer."
The deadline for signing free agents passed on 31 March, so McCall cannot sign the pair for this season even if he wanted to.
Winger Shirde has been a free agent since his Hamburg contract expired last summer.
The German failed to break into the first team at the Bundesliga outfit.
Right wing-back Milovic joined Honka in the Finnish Veikkausliiga in August, the 19-year-old having previously been with Mogren Budva in the Montenegrin top flight.
Rangers sit third in the Scottish Championship and will have to rely on winning the play-offs if they are to achieve promotion to the top flight next season.
