Colchester United 2-2 Scunthorpe United

Colchester's relegation fears intensified after Scunthorpe scored a last minute equaliser.

Hakeeb Adelakun's looping stoppage-time leveller denied the U's a first win in three League One games.

Theo Robinson's effort into the top corner gave the visitors the lead before Tom Eastman levelled from six yards after the Iron failed to clear.

Chris Porter thought he had one it with his late goal but Adelakun replied with time almost up.

A win for Colchester, who are still second-from-bottom of League One, would have drawn them level on points with fellow strugglers Notts County and Leyton Orient.

But they are four points from safety and face promotion-chasing Swindon and Preston in their final two matches.

Scunthorpe boss Mark Robins told BBC Radio Humberside:

Robins on Colchester v Scunthorpe

"I thought we were an absolute joke. From start to finish the game was nothing, it was a nothing game. We spoke about winning this and putting everything to bed before the game. We coasted through things and I'm sick of us doing things and just doing enough.

"The players have got to accept that they are the ones who go on the pitch and get the results.

"We are mentally weak. We get to a point where we think we are doing well and have done enough and it's got to stop.

"The goals we conceded were as bad as you will ever see, they were horrendous."
