Gillingham 1-0 Rochdale

Gillingham secured back-to-back home wins for the first time since February as they beat nine-man Rochdale in an ill-tempered game.

Bradley Dack headed in the game's only goal, as he rose well to nod in Doug Loft's corner from close range.

Rochdale were reduced to 10 men when keeper Jamie Jones was sent off for fouling Cody McDonald.

Matty Lund, making his first start for Dale since Boxing Day, was dismissed shortly after when he fouled Dack.

The result all but ended the visitors' League One play-off hopes, whilst the Gills rise to ninth.

Hill on Gillingham v Rochdale

Rochdale manager Keith Hill told BBC Radio Manchester:

"I'm not happy with the standard of refereeing. I'm not happy with Andy D'urso's performance today, I'm really disappointed, I'm not disappointed of the way my players have handled themselves.

"I have to suffer now as I believe the referee's had a really bad game and it's probably cost us something from the game. "

"It's a penalty, there's no doubt about it and it's possibly a card, I don't know what colour, but it's definitely penalty."
