Nuneaton Town 1-1 Woking

Woking's hopes of a place in the Conference play-offs were ended after a 1-1 draw at already-relegated Nuneaton.

West Ham loanee Jaanai Gordon's spectacular strike from 25 yards gave the home side an early lead.

Rob Ogleby could have doubled the advantage 12 minutes later but blasted a half-chance over the bar.

Nuneaton keeper Max Crocombe brilliantly saved from Scott Rendell early in the second half before Kevin Betsy levelled with a header.

Woking could not find a winner as they dropped to five points behind the final play-off spot with one game to go, while Nuneaton are now two points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Hill on Nuneaton v Woking

Woking boss Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:

"We do know now we aren't going to be in the play-offs but it's been a tremendous effort from everybody at the football club.

"There was a spell for about 10 minutes when we had five really good chances to turn in and go in front but for one reason or another the chances fell to players that weren't taken. Everyone is dejected and disappointed at the moment.

"It was always going to be tall order this season after tremendous season last year when we finished ninth. For the club to be seventh position and have 73 points it just proves how well the football club has done."
